Проект Шлейермахера: перевод диалогов Платона и задача общекультурного развития

Цель данной статьи — показать, что философское содержание теории перевода Ф. Шлейермахера не исчерпывается только герменевтической проблематикой и включает в себя особенное понимание перевода в широком смысле как задачи общекультурного развития и приобщения через язык к культуре других народов. Такое понимание является результатом многолетнего опыта Ф. Шлейермахера по переводу диалогов Платона и определено принципами, разработанного им, «внутреннего метода» перевода. В статье анализируется методология перевода Ф. Шлейермахера, как она изложена в лекции 1813 г. «О разных методах перевода»; сопоставляется описание «внутреннего метода» во Введении к переводу диалогов Платона с подробным его изложением в лекции 1813 г. Делается вывод, что, по Ф. Шлейермахеру, перевод в обычном понимании всегда неполноценен, только перевод в широком смысле может дать подлинное сближение с тестом иной культуры.

Schleiermacher's understanding of nature and objectives of translation / interpretation / hermeneutics was formed in a specific socio-cultural environment, and studying genesis of this understanding allows us to rethink Schleiermacher's ideas in themselves in the historical and contemporary perspectives.

So, the subject of our research is philosophical content of Schleiermacher’s translation theory, for which purpose we used historical and genetic, general philosophical, logical and hermeneutical methods and textual analysis. Our goal was to show Schleiermacher’s translation theory is not confined only to hermeneutical problematic. It involves special understanding of translation in the wide sense as the task of cultural development and introduction to other cultures by means of language. Such understanding is a result of Schleiermacher’s long experience in the translation of Plato's dialogues and is determined by principles of ‘Internal method’ in translation, which is devised by him. We analyze a presentation of Schleiermacher’s translation methodology in his lecture On Different Methods of Translation (1813) and compare it with description of ‘Internal method’ in his Introduction to translation of Plato's dialogues.

We conclude according to F. Schleiermacher, translation in the ordinary sense is always incomplete, only translation in the wide sense could give a genuine rapprochement with a text of other culture.
